A Very College Christmas

This Saturday was a pretty great day! My roommates and I decided to make it our own Christmas morning. So we pulled a couple mattresses into the living room and all slept in there together. It was really cozy and everything but sleeping on the 2 cushion love seat didn’t provide me with the best night’s sleep and 8:30AM came way too quick.

Like I said, we got up at 8:30 to open presents because we had some company coming at 9:00AM for breakfast. We all gave each other the gifts we had picked out. Kenzie got me the most adorable fabric stud earrings-purple of course. And she got each of us a Disney Princess Pez dispenser in our princesses (I’m Jasmine). Emily made us each picture frames with personal memories written all over it. And Nalani decided it would be funny to get me an “Owl Always Be Your Friend” picture frame…HA.HA.

Spencer, Jake and Lawrence came and joined us for breakfast. Jake being the healthy guy he is provided the fruit. Spencer kept it manly, as always, by cooking up the bacon in our pink cupcake apron, and Lawrence made some divine french toast, using ice cream instead of milk. Quite the successful meal!.

Jake was super awesome and got us a wonderful Christmas present: a pack of 36 different colors of Play-Doh! Yes, Play-Doh…remember how I love acting like a child. Perfect gift. So of course we played with that for a while. Below is our creation. It’s a mustached man in a cowboy hat riding a dragon. Wanna know how you know we’re college students? We used the Play-Doh to study for finals. Sad, I know.
IMG_3724 Saturday night was a super legit Ward Trip to Salt Lake to see the lights. We rode up on school buses…I’m 20 years old and my feet still barely touch the ground. And we got Subway catered to eat on the way up-sweet! We watched the new Joseph Smith movie…it’s was incredible and so moving; seriously take a look.

Then we walked around Temple Square, looked at the beautiful lights and took some fun roommate pictures. Pretty awesome college Christmas! Also, have I mentioned, I love these girls? Because I do!
