Thoughts on Politics

I have been so aggravated lately, with the media, with the candidates, and especially with Facebook. Politics have completely taken over. This in itself isn’t a bad thing. Some of my friends (both Liberal and Conservative, Republican and Democrat) make excellent points. They post valid information and really make me think. What’s terrible is more often the things that are posted are completely one-sided and sound ignorant. I’ve come to the point where I am not only upset by the words but also with the individuals. I hate being upset with people. I do not like negative things. And that’s the problem, because now I don’t like politics. And that’s not okay, political issues are important, what happens in this country is important to me!

I’ve realized that there is no room for negativity in my life. Negativity accomplishes nothing except to bring me down. There is enough pain and hurt and suffering in this world without people speaking poorly of others. Just once instead of hearing “Mitt Romney blah blah negative stuff blah blah blah"” or “Barack Obama blah blah more negativity blah blah.” I’d like someone to tell me something wonderful about their candidate; a reason I should vote for him and not just a reason I shouldn’t vote for the other guy. No negatively. Just good stuff.

Now for some fun. I love Ellen. Her show never fails to make me smile and laugh. Positivity my friends, the key to a happy life.
