this week was spent studying and taking finals…and now they’re DONE! there of course had to be some breaks in there for fun though.
saturday night i planned a bon fire up in the canyon and with the help of a couple awesome guys it was a great success. we roasted marshmallows and i tried a strawberry smore-life changing. i overcame my fear of fire a little bit and threw some lighter fluid on that sucker. it ended as all great parties do, broken up by the cops-we stayed past the park closing time.
monday night was the final FHE of the year and it was a backyard ward party-with root beer and orange cream floats. we sat on the ground on blankets, picnic style and it was cold {hence the above picture of em and i trying to cuddle under one coat for warmth-i’m gonna miss that girl so much}. after the eating we watched each of the families act out a book of mormon story-hilarious.
tuesday i went and saw jack and rose on the big screen. i’m not usually a huge fan of the 3-d style but it really did enhance the viewing experience…made me feel more like i was on board the ship. also, i heard that the only thing they changed in the movie was the star configuration in the sky while the ship was sinking {sorry-spoiler alert} because someone complained about it not being accurate for the time of year…WHAT? i just find that absolutely ridiculous, how can you even focus on that while people are dying and jack and rose are fighting for survival. uhhhg! but yeah, totally worth the $7.50
this is what my bedroom and the rest of my apartment looked like all week {not so fun} and still does a little bit-it’s depressing. our usually warm and welcoming apartment is packed up and cold looking. this makes me incredibly sad, the walls of b26 are full of 2 years of amazing memories.
yesterday i took 3 finals and by the time the pm rolled around i needed some calorie-therapy. first we hit up cafe rio and then grabbed some free ice cream from the creamery {thanks mom and dad}. then the core-4 cuddled up on the roof of our apartment building and looked up at the stars.
5 days Utah…that’s what we have left together
