Awkward:
- Me taking out the trash and attempting to hurl it into the dumpster. The dumpster is pretty tall and I am pretty short. My arm isn’t capable of holding the lid open very much and my other arm isn’t really strong enough to lift the bag high enough to toss it in {especially when said bag is fully of surprisingly heavy rotten pumpkins}.
- Walking into my apartment to find a man wearing no shirt sitting in my kitchen getting his “wig” cut by my roommate.
- Sitting next to Rico Suave in class as he tries oh SO unsuccessfully to ask a girl to go on a date with him. “So if you’re into that kind of thing you should come with me on Friday night.” “Uhh, sounds fun but I’m super busy.” “Oh really, what cha got going on?” “Uhhh…homework and stuff.” Sucks to be him :/
- Getting punched in the face by your roommate…over a boy.
- Me when I have to pose in front of a camera. I wore a maxi dress to campus on day and this random girl came up and asked if she could take a picture of me for her fashion blog {awesome}. Sure thing! Now just umm…well…how do you want me to stand? What face should I make? Hmm…maybe this wasn’t the best idea.
- Watching a movie in the apartment of people whose names you don’t even know…while none of them are home.
- Falling down stairs. In church. Wearing a skirt. Landing in a split that spans about 4 steps. In front of a cute boy. Get the picture?
Awesome:
- Just food in general. Cafe Rio. California Pizza Kitchen. Shredded Wheat Cereal. Blueberry pancakes. It’s all so beautiful.
- It’s sweater season! And November has been oh so kind-I’ve been able to go to school without wearing a real coat. It’s lovely.
- Volunteering at the food bank and getting a little non-profit experience.
- Emily’s new, fancy Hans Christian Andersen The Complete Fairy Tales book. And the fact that our friend comes over and reads us stories from it {see above picture}.
- I’ve rediscovered my love for reading novels. Especially those of the Young Adult variety. In fact, I have spent one night of my last two weekend in Barnes&Noble. Even the smell of books makes me excited.
