Welcome to Title Town!

I am a big time Boston sports fan! I truly believe that the fans here are unlike any other fans in their dedication and loyalty to their teams. And this dedication has paid off;being a Boston sports fan is always exciting and, as of late, often rewarding!

In the last 10 years I have gotten to watch as each one of my teams won a World Championship!

First, the win that started this decade of dominance, the Cinderella story of the 2001 New England Patriots. 2 games into the regular season the starting quarterback Drew Bledsoe is grievously injured and it seems once again the Patriots season will end in disappointment. However, New England fans got to watch week after week as young Tom Brady surprised everyone and led his team to their first Superbowl Victory against the “Greatest Show on Turf” St. Louis Rams.

Well Tom Brady and of course the golden foot of one Adam Vinatieri!

Two short years later they did it again. This time beating out the Carolina Panthers on February 1, 2004.

Later that year it seemed the Patriots were sharing some of their good fortune as the Red Sox had themselves in a position to win the World Series for the first time in 86 years. First however they had to get through the Evil Empire…The New York Yankees. After losing 3 games straight it looked like once again the Sox would end the season in defeat.

The sporting world watched in amazement however as the Red Sox became the first team MLB history to win a series after being down tree games to none.

Who could forget Schilling’s bloody {red} sock in game 6?

The momentum carried the Sox through, they swept the Series and the words “The Boston Red Sox are World Champions” were music to the ears of fans who had literally waited a lifetime to hear them.

Only 4 months later the Patriots would once again give Boston fans a reason to cheer as they won their 3rd Superbowl in 4 years and cemented their place in the NFL history books by becoming a Dynasty!

{they also went on a 21 game winning streak during the 2003 and 2004 seasons-which was remarkable to watch}

In 2007 the Red Sox won ANOTHER World Series Championship and the Patriots completed the only 16-game regular season perfect season…and broke a heck of alot of records doing it.

After a Superbowl loss by the Patriots us Boston Fans needed some cheering up…preferably in the form of some sort of Championship-it seemed it was up to the Celtics to deliver and deliver they did…over the LAKERS!!!

And just as the glory of these past championships began to fade during this 3 year drought', out of nowhere, with the odds stacked against them {because that is the way of a true Boston team} come the Bruins. 39 years without a Championship-it’s about freakin’ time!

And to win 3 game 7s to get that giant cup {i bet its almost as tall as me}-you deserve it!

Congrats to the 2011 Stanley Cup Champions: The Boston Bruins-Welcome to Title Town. And congrats to Boston for having your 4 major sports team all win a championship in the past 10 years! Here’s to the many more!
