My Nana had to go to Martha’s Vineyard yesterday for work and was nice enough to take me with her. I love the little trips she takes me on and I love being my “Nanny’s Girl”.
The ferry ride over was awesome-it was nice to feel the sea breeze in my hair again. And we didn’t even walk that far to get to it thanks to a killer parking spot ;)
So as we’re getting ready to get off the ferry my Nana begins leading me away from the crowd- I should have known something was wrong then, but she’s done this before and I hadn’t. We go down 3 flights of stairs and exit out this door and suddenly we’re in the car deck. Everyone is sitting in their cars waiting to drive off the boat. We got about halfway to the front-sqeezing our way between car mirrors-and I realized that this did not seem like the right thing to do. I tried to convince my Nana to go back but she was determined that this was the right way out. We got all the way to the front and she got that “hmmm” look on her face. She asked a police officer if we were allowed to exit this way. Answer: No. Back upstairs we went. Oh Nana-I love you!
The weather was perfect; it was warm but not too hot {like today} and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Needless to say, I had alot of fun taking pictures {which I will now add to this post so you can see-but just a few, not all 200}
check out the sweet paint job on this thing-it said “around the world in 80 days” on the back and had pictures of different world-famous landmarks all over it.
I kind of love the ocean a little bit <3
1. Vineyard Haven 2. Nana trying on a hat-she looked gorgeous, but didn’t buy it 3. Quaint little storefront 4. Oh the possibilities 5. Stuff is old around here {but not Europe old} 6. wicked awesome old cameras-one had a flash that was just a lightbulb in a dish attached to the top 7. I was so fascinated by this little church for some reason and couldn’t stop taking pictures of it 8. Missionaries!
These are the trips that I’ll remember for the rest of my life…exploring New England’s beautiful treasures and spending time with my Nana.
{I have more to post but I think it deserves it’s own post so I’ll get to that tomorrow. Hint: It includes little houses and bright colors.}
