Yesterday was such a wonderful day! I woke up to the sun shining for the first time in a week and it was warm enough for me to just wear a cardigan to class. In my Biology class we are learning about how different foods are good for you and keep you healthy. To keep us interested my professor gave us a trail mix including almonds dried blueberries and dried cranberries…I love getting free food in class. Then in my ASL class we got to go outside and play a game! Sometimes ASL feels like I’m back in elementary school and I love it.
My roommate, Emily applied to the BYU dietetics program and way back in the fall she said that if she got in we were going to the Melting Pot to celebrate…and if she didn’t get in we were going anyway. Luckily (well luck didn’t have much to do with it, she’s super smart), we found out earlier this month that she got in. So last night off to the Melting Pot we went! It was pretty awesome. First we got two different kinds of cheese fondue-Spinach and Artichoke and some French thing I couldn’t pronounce or remember how to spell. We got 3 types of bread, apples, vegetables and of course NACHOS to dip in the cheese. Then we got dessert-chocolate peanut butter and smores fondues with strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, cheesecake, poundcake, graham crackers and rice crispy treats for dipping- and that’s when the fun really started. Mattison and Emily were being silly and feeding each other. They’re quite adorable huh? No they’re not together…yet…but they should be ;)
The boys have been growing these ridiculous mustaches all month long for “mustache march”. You may notice that they both have light hair so the mustaches don’t always show up. I believe this is what caused them to want their mustaches to be chocolated…either that of they (meaning the mustaches) were “hungry”. So, umm…I painted their mustaches for them…and while it may not have been the classiest thing to do, it was hilarious! Take a look-I’m pretty proud of my work (:
