This better be fun or I'm gonna be pissed!

Day 8: A Picture that Makes You Laugh
Sundance Film Festival-January 29, 2011

I don't even know where to begin with this picture but I really want to tell you about this day. So, I have a very extensive bucket list and one of the things on there is "Attend the Sundance Film Festival" and since I live less than an hour from Park City I figured this year was a good a time as any. I told my friends about this dream of mine a few of them hopped on board (while other weenies decided not to join the adventure).
Emily, Nalani, Jake, Mattison and myself met up at 6:00AM and begin our journey. As Emily got in the car she says to all of us, "This better be fun, or I'm gonna be pissed." Off the a great start. The scenic drive to Park City was filled with Susan Boyle tunes (Mattison's choice). When we finally arrived we waited in line for tickets that we didn't get so we had to go wait in another line. It was on our way to the second line that we found the above wonderful picture opportunity. I quite enjoy Nalani's (that's the girl that isn't me) face; it's as though she cant stand the fact that Jake (the blonde boy on my/Nalani's lap) had the nerve to sit on her. But what really gets me every single time I look at this picture is Mattison's priceless expression. I mean, really I shouldn't be surprised (if you knew Mattison you'd understand) but it's still quite comical, don't ya think?
Anyway, we arrived at the theater to get in line for our tickets and they wouldn't allow us to form an official line until 2 hours before the movie so we went exploring. During this exploration we found the most amazing porta-potty I have ever seen...

(Yes. This was actually taken inside of a portable bathroom/ outhouse, whatever you want to call it, I guess they just do everything nice at Sundance.)

After getting our tickets we went and did some more exploring and got these awesome free water bottles that we could re-fill all over the festival with Brita water...sweet! Then we got in line, with our wait-list tickets, for one final time before getting in to see the best movie ever,The Details (premiere screening...I felt pretty cool). Aren't we cute?
After, the movie we went window shopping in all these little boutiques and visited some photography galleries up and down main street. Well, four of us did...Nalani slept most of the time (there this one story that I really want to tell you but I cant because I pinkie-promised her I wouldn't). But here she is sleeping in a gallery...
To finish off the evening we had reservation at this fancy shmancy restaurant, SPRUCE. First, we were treated to complimentary valet parking and then greeted by name (well Mr. Page because Jake made the reservation). Our coats were taken and we were lead to our table, were we enjoyed a fine meal. Again I just want to say the bathroom, or should I say water closet, was awesome. No cheap-o paper towels in this place, just face cloths to dry your hands with and the most wonderful eucalyptus hand lotion. It was the perfect ending to the day.

So there you have it; way more than the required picture, but you read all the way to the end so it couldn't have been that boring for you. Plus, I enjoyed writing it so whatever.
